Kornati is the archipelago with the largest number of islands in the entire Mediterranean, in fact it boasts almost 150 islands, islets and large rocks. Its conformation and its wild and primordial nature make it the ideal destination for those who are tired of the usual holidays in crowded and conventional tourist destinations but want to immerse themselves in uncontaminated nature and the blue sea. Almost half of the Croatian islands, in fact, are part of the natural park precisely to preserve the beauty of these places and its biodiversity, the Kornati also boast a surprising number of animal and plant species.
The Kornati Islands are characterized by an unmistakable rocky coast with imposing cliffs, promontories, caves and ravines, a landscape loved by sailors, divers and snorkelers; many of its beaches can only be reached by boat and for this reason they are almost never crowded. Kornati owe their name to its impressive rocks on the sea called crowns.
This natural paradise can also be reached from Italy by ferry by docking on the island of Dugi Otok. The other islands can only be reached by private boats, chartered or with organized tours with skipper.
